Accuris SmartDrop Nano Spectrophotometer

The Accuris SmartDrop Nano Spectrophotometer series enables quick and easy quantification of small biological samples without cuvettes or dilution. A motorized pedestal system stretches a 0.5–2.0 µL droplet into a liquid column of defined path length, performing spectral analysis in under 5–6 seconds. All models feature a 7-inch color touchscreen, built-in thermal printer, USB data export, and a cuvette port for OD600 bacterial growth readings. No external computer or software is required. Three models address different performance levels: SmartDrop L (NS1000) uses a UV LED light source with fixed 260, 280, and 600 nm wavelengths and a 0.5 mm path length, covering dsDNA 10–2,500 ng/µL with 0.2–50 A range. SmartDrop X (NS1010) uses a xenon flash lamp with a 2,048-element CCD array covering 200–800 nm (1 nm steps) with auto-ranging 0.2 mm / 1.0 mm path lengths, dsDNA 2–4,500 ng/µL, and 0.04–90 A absorbance range. SmartDrop XF (NS1020) extends SmartDrop X with a third 0.05 mm path length for ultra-concentrated samples (dsDNA up to 15,000 ng/µL, 0.04–300 A range) and adds an integrated fluorometer port for fluorescence quantification (460 ± 20 nm excitation / 525–570 nm emission; dsDNA sensitivity 0.5 pg/µL; linearity R² ≥ 0.995) compatible with Accuris Quantification Kits.
