Accuris QuadCount Automated Cell Counter

The Accuris QuadCount automated cell counter improves on traditional brightfield microscopy by combining an LED light source, precision optics, and a high-resolution 5-megapixel CMOS sensor (2592×1944 px) with motorized XYZ positioning for precise auto-focusing and multi-image capture. A high-quality 4× objective and green LED (50,000-hour service life) provide consistent, high-contrast images of mammalian cells stained with trypan blue or fluorescent dyes. Proprietary QuadSlide consumables process four independent samples per slide using hydrophilic inner surfaces and engraved reference grids, with a 20 µl sample volume per chamber. Three counting modes balance speed and statistical accuracy: Quick Mode (0.15 µl / 20 seconds / 1 image frame), Normal Mode (0.9 µl / 30 seconds / 6 image frames), and Precise Mode (3.6 µl / 100 seconds / 24 image frames). The dynamic range of 1×10⁴ to 1×10⁷ cells/mL covers the full span of typical cell culture densities. Cell size detection range: 5–60 µm. Results are displayed as count histograms and exported to USB flash drives as formatted PDF reports. The intuitive touchscreen interface stores preset protocols for repeatable workflows.
